Others not so much& As the sneaker world converges in Las Vegas this weekend for the first public look at the Air Jordan XX9 and the unveiling of adidas vaunted Boost tech, Comic-Con in San Diego is finally wrapping up after three (four if you count Preview Night on Wednesday) days of non-stop panels, announcements and leaks.

With Jordan retros sitting on shelves and adidas and Kanye hogging ULTRA BOOST 3.0 up the spotlight with their Yeezy/Boost releases, many of you feel like 2015 was the year of the Three Stripes. Granted, adidas did have one of the best shoes of the year , and the whole Yeezy line had ULTRA BOOST 4.0 a hell of an introductory year as well, but at the end of they day adidas is still playing second fiddle.

Nostalgia is strong for Nike products and that s why they dominate the retro game like no other brand and it s also why we hate them when they screw up our classics. In 2015, Nike made a more concerned (or if you re totally cynical, put some) effort into making sure their most iconic silhouettes ULTRA BOOST BLACK are as true to the original as possible. If you have any doubts about how Nike fared this year with their remastered effort, this #KoFBestOf2015 award for best OG sneaker reissue was open to all brands but the swoosh walked away with a clean sweep.

The Ultra Boost never let up in 2015. Solid colorways, a Kanye West co-sign, the  cage vs.  uncaged debate and so much more kept the shoe in the collective zeitgeist since it debuted earlier this year. When was the last time an adidas shoe managed to stay relevant for that long?Really, it could have gone either way with the Ultra Boost or the Yeezy Boost taking the runner-up spot.

Hopefully in that same time, Nike and every other sneaker ULTRA BOOST OREO brand in the world will continue to improve the lives of those who are unable by advancing the precedent set by the LeBron Soldier 8 Flyease.
