As you can see, the designer uses texture too build out the shoe and give it a presence that will last longer than just a glance.

Taking a hybrid approach, Takahiro chose to incorporate the asymmetrical lacing of the 1970 and Ü80s era Converse Odessa shoe into his converse black leather hi tops design. The Odessa shoe, which was originally designed for running, was super innovative for its time and a shoe from the Converse archives that Takahiro has long admired. Following the Chuck Taylor All Star and One Star versions, Converse will debut the Number (N)ine version of the Odessa trainer in early 2010.

They will be available in converse black leather high tops low and high ankle versions, and in colors such as black, white, navy, and off white. They all sport nylon uppers along with classic white soles, reinforced shoe lacing eyelets, and midsole ribbings. This skate-ready pair of Chuck Taylors feature a white leather upper along with red and navy ribbing on a classic white sole. The ankle collar is padded, while the shoe lacing eyelets are reinforced with metal.

CONS CTS Hi Perforated Black Feb 9, 2010 Converse s typical canvas upper is not really geared toward the skate crowd. However, the CONS skateline is looking to bridge that gap with a taste of the classic converse styling mixed in.Here we have a black perforated leather upper styled like the classic Chuck Taylor. Converse decided to throw in a padded double ankle collar for added support and protection as well as thicker tongue and shorter toe box. The Star is done up in leather and fits nicely with the black stripe that come standard on the Chuck Taylor. For a premium touch, wax laces have been added to blend with the black lace eyelets.
